Like many of us, I grew up paying very little attention to health and nutrition
As the food industry became more focused on convenience and highly processed foods, I went along for the ride. Looking back, it’s amazing how little knowledge I had about the foods I was putting into my body.
Becoming a parent and taking responsibility for my own kids’ health brought a new awareness of better health and nutrition practices. When my child was only five years old, he/she was at the 95th percentile for weight. She/he continued to put weight on while eating the same as the other kids. It was my responsibility to learn more about how nutrition affects our bodies and help my child maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle.
I began to learn more about health, exercise and nutrition.
In 2000 I began strength training and competitive body building. After only eleven weeks of training, I entered my first competition. Through body building I experienced positive changes in body composition and learned that 80% of my weight and body shape was due to how I fueled my body. This was a breakthrough for me, but eating strictly to build more lean muscle mass can be restrictive and nearly impossible to do on an ongoing basis. I knew how to eat for competition, but didn’t take a holistic approach to health and nutrition. I needed something more sustainable.
As a wife, mother and business owner, I have experienced the wide variety of daily stresses that can affect our health.
Whether it’s worrying about the kids as they grow, working on maintaining healthy relationships, dealing with financial concerns, managing a work/life balance or simply having enough energy to get through a hectic week – I began to understand that we need more.
My search brought me to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Here I received comprehensive training in integrative nutrition, with training from world-class educators who are leading physicians, researchers, doctors, and nutrition experts at the forefront of the health and wellness movement. I graduated from IIN in 2016.
I’m also dedicated to helping educate children about healthy food choices and the importance of nutrition. I am currently writing a children’s book and interactive workbook that makes healthy food fun and interesting for kids.
Let’s get to know each other better.

Since then I have worked with clients, assisting them in feeling their best through food and lifestyle changes.
My training allows me to tailor individual wellness programs to meet each client’s unique needs. I understand that relationships, exercise, career, and spirituality are just as important to your health as the food you eat. My coaching takes a holistic approach to supporting the whole person.
